We will attend the book fair at Svenska mässan next week and are looking for volunteers to join us. Would you like to talk about the ship, sailing and books!

Are you a bookworm and would like to join us at the book fair?

We will be attending this year’s book fair between the 26th and 29th of September. Wednesday, the 25th, is a packing day when we will pack everything at the pier, drive to Svenska Mässan, and set up the entire booth.

We have now opend upp an event in PAAM for volunteers to apply if you would like to join us!

The shifts during the book fair will be divided into a morning shift and an afternoon shift, with each shift lasting 6 hours, including a lunch break.

The book fair's opening hours are:
Thurs: 26/9 – 09:00-18:00
Fri: 27/9 – 09:00-19:00
Sat: 28/9 – 09:00-18:00
Sun: 29/9 – 09:00-17:00

If you want to join for one or more days, this means we:

  • Provide lunch during the fair.
  • Allow you, after or before working a 6-hour shift, to explore the fair as a regular visitor.

In the booth, we expect you to engage with our visiting guests and tell them about the ship.

Christmas Market Premiere on the East Indiaman Götheborg We are opening the gates to a 1700s-inspired Christmas market on the pier of the East Indiaman! Come and enjoy a coffee on the cozy cannon deck with the scent of mulled wine and tar, and take the opportunity to finish your Christmas shopping at our market. We will have activities for both children and adults, both onboard the ship and on the pier. For those of you who wish to be part of the Christmas market or want more information (musicians, exhibitors, artisans, food operators), please send an email to info@gotheborg.se. We welcome the whole family to join us onboard the East Indiaman Götheborg! Opening Hours: December 7-8: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM December 14-15: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: Pier 4, Eriksberg, Gothenburg (Nearest bus stop: Sörhallstorget, or Eriksberg ferry stop if taking the ferry.)
