We strive for gender balance, ethnic and cultural diversity, but also a mix of sailing experience. The deckhands are assigned to the sail legs according to these criteria, but also according to personal suitability. If you have volunteered on the ship on weekdays, worked weekends or put a lot of effort into your application, it will most likely affect your chances.
It is not possible to apply in pairs. Your applications will be processed separately. However, we recommend that you include the name of the person that you would like to sail with on your application. We will try to take your wishes into consideration as much as possible.
