Thursday 23 June at 10:00 am, we will arrive in Helsinki! Götheborg of Sweden will be moored at Makasiini Quay, at the heart in the South Harbour right next to the Market Hall. Ticket sales are now open for Friday 24 June, Saturday 25 June, Sunday 26 June and Monday 27 June.
Götheborg of Sweden is the world's largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship, an 18th century replica of the original Götheborg that sank outside of Gothenburg in 1745, and will create great attention wherever she goes. Today, at 4pm, we left the beautiful city of Helsingborg after three wonderful and sunny days in port. We've had thousands of visitors, a great arrival ceremony, and business dinners and lunches on board during our stay. We have also greeted three watches of new deckhands on board, who will sail with us to Helsinki.
Today, at 3pm, we arrived to the city of Helsingborg, in the south of Sweden. Crowds welcomed us on the quay sides as we greeted the city with a gun salutes of eight shots. Thank you Helsingborg for the very warm welcome and we hope to see you on board!
On Wednesday, 8th June, Götheborg finally set sail for a two-year journey with Europe and Asia in sight. As final preparations were made, Götheborg and Dagens Industri co-hosted an event nearby where panelists from the world of trade, politics and international posts spoke about a world that looks different from when Götheborg last set sail some seventeen years ago.
On Wednesday, 8 June 2022, the great Asia Expedition 2022/2023 begins! A two year adventure, visiting three continents, awaits us! At 15:30 in the afternoon we loosen the moorings, at 16:00 we will shoot gun salute just outside Eriksberg. Come and wave us off and if you have a boat, join us as we head out of the harbour!
On the departure day from Gothenburg, 8 june 2022, Götheborg together with Dagens Industri Konferens, hosts an event focusing on new business opportunities for Swedish companies, and how innovation and sustainability are key to the growth of Swedish companies in international markets.

In September, Götheborg will sail to Lisbon, Portugal. It is the first time that the ship visits Portugal. Götheborg will be in Lisbon 5–8 September 2022 and will be moored at the central location of Cais Rocha Conde de Óbidos. The ship will be open to visitors during its stay. Welcome on board!
We have now been at the shipyard for a number of weeks in order to get ready for the Asia Expedition. We've had sunshine, rain and snowstorms during our time at Gotenius, but now it's time to head back to Pier 4 at Eriksberg in Gothenburg. Let us tell you all about it.
As we announce that the ship is coming to Copenhagen and Oslo in July, we are also really excited to release three more sailing legs at the same time: Stockholm to Copenhagen, Copenhagen to Oslo and Oslo to London. Are you ready to join us?
In July we're coming to Copenhagen and Oslo! They are the two final stops in the Nordic countries before the ship heads towards the rest of Europe on the great Asia Expedition 2022/2023. We will be in Copenhagen 20–24 July and in Oslo 28–31 July 2022.
