Asia Expedition 2022/2023

Thank you, and goodbye Helsinki

As we sail for Stockholm, we say a warm and heartfelt thank you to beautiful Helsinki for hosting us for a few days. As June never promises sunshine in the North of Europe, we were spoiled by the beautiful weather that you laid on for us.

Also, we could not have hoped for a better or more beautiful view, as Götheborg was moored by the south quay where crew and visitors got a view of the city Cathedral and surrounding architecture.

Thank you to the many visitors who came to the ship. We were so pleased to see you all. As we arrived, we were very honoured to greet the Mayor of Helsinki, Juhana Vartiainen and Sweden’s Ambassador to Finland, Nicola Clase on board. We also hosted a business event on board to end the week before the important Midsummer weekend started.

As the Swedish Ship Götheborg continues on its voyage around the world, we are pleased to have started our visits outside of Sweden with our neighbours and friends just to the East of Sweden.

From Helsinki we are now heading to Stockholm, Sweden, where we arrive at Skeppsbrokajen 11 July at the latest. Due to a drydock visit that we want to do before we head on to the Mediterranean, arrival at Skeppsbrokajen will be later than planned. Instead, we arrive to the drydock in Stockholm 4 July. If you want to know where we are while we are sailing, you can always follow us on the map here

Visit the ship in Stockholm

We will be open to visitors during our stopover at Skeppsbrokajen. Due to a drydock visit, this stopover will be short. We will arrive 11 July at the latest. Right now ticket sales will only be open for 12 July.

Moored at Canary Wharf in London

08 August 2022

We have arrived in London, and we were greeted with style by the Londoners! Passing Tower Bridge at 08:30 in the morning, thousands of onlookers were lining the quaysides to see the ship. We are now moored at Thames Quay in the South Dock in Canary Wharf, and will be open to visitors during the stopover.

Thank you Oslo

31 July 2022

We are now headed for London, after four sunny and warm days in the Norwegian capital Oslo. Thank you Oslo for hosting us for a few days, and thank you to everyone who came and visited us. Oslo is the last stop in the Nordic countries before we head south on our great Asia Expedition 2022/2023.

We are in Oslo!

28 July 2022

We have arrived in Oslo, and are now moored at Vippetangen near Akershus Fortress. We are here until Sunday 31 July, and are open to visitors Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We look forward to greeting you on board!
