As we sail for Stockholm, we say a warm and heartfelt thank you to beautiful Helsinki for hosting us for a few days. As June never promises sunshine in the North of Europe, we were spoiled by the beautiful weather that you laid on for us.

Also, we could not have hoped for a better or more beautiful view, as Götheborg was moored by the south quay where crew and visitors got a view of the city Cathedral and surrounding architecture.
Thank you to the many visitors who came to the ship. We were so pleased to see you all. As we arrived, we were very honoured to greet the Mayor of Helsinki, Juhana Vartiainen and Sweden’s Ambassador to Finland, Nicola Clase on board. We also hosted a business event on board to end the week before the important Midsummer weekend started.
As the Swedish Ship Götheborg continues on its voyage around the world, we are pleased to have started our visits outside of Sweden with our neighbours and friends just to the East of Sweden.
From Helsinki we are now heading to Stockholm, Sweden, where we arrive at Skeppsbrokajen 11 July at the latest. Due to a drydock visit that we want to do before we head on to the Mediterranean, arrival at Skeppsbrokajen will be later than planned. Instead, we arrive to the drydock in Stockholm 4 July. If you want to know where we are while we are sailing, you can always follow us on the map here.

Midsummer Run/Sailing Leg 2 of the great Asia Expedition 2022/2023 went from Helsingborg in southern Sweden to Helsinki, the capital of Finland. We left Helsingborg 17 June 2022, and after six days of sailing we arrived in Helsinki, 23 June 2022.
The visit in beautiful Helsinki was four sun drenched days of very hot summer weather. Thousands of people visited the ship during our days in port, and we hosted a business event on board before the Midsummer festivities started. We were also honoured to welcome the Mayor of Helsinki, Juhana Vartiainen and the Ambassador of Sweden to Finland, Nicola Clase on board after arrival. We want to thank Port of Helsinki/Helsingin Satama for the excellent collaboration!
Follow the sailing leg from start to finish in this video. Thank you Helsinki for your warm welcome!

This weekend (18–19 March) will be our last in Barcelona. Monday 20 March at 10:00 we head out after nearly five months in this beautiful city. As this is the last chance to visit the ship in Barcelona, don't miss out! We're open Saturday and Sunday, and the ship will have full crew and of course look her best.
Are you 18–25 and want to sail with us? This is a great opportunity to get part of the payment payed by a grant! STAS (Sail Training Association of Sweden) has decided to give a grant of 2500 SEK each to four people 18–25 years of age. With only four grants to hand out, don't hesitate to apply!
