Summer is over and the maintenance of our beloved ship is in need of some extra pair of hands! If you have time to spend, and love the dark and musky fragrance of tar?
Götheborg of Sweden is a fascinating destination located in the city of Gothenburg – a ship loaded with experience. A genuine working ship with a vibrant history, scarred by harsh storms and marked by thousands upon thousands of nautical miles on the seven seas. Here, during our guided tours, visitors get to know everything from captivating stories about our many sailing adventures to the tremendous art of shipbuilding, in a contemporary 18th-century environment.

During September 2023 we are open for guided tours on weekends.
Opening hours September 2023:
9–10 September: 11:00–16:00
16–17 September: 11:00–16:00
23–24 September: 11:00–16:00
30 September–1 October: 11:00–16:00
Guided tours will leave once an hour, last guided tour leaves at 15:00. Tours in English at 12:00 and 14:00.
The tours take 45–50 minutes.
Please note that the ship can only be visited in the company of a guide.

Adults: 150 SEK
Children 7-14 years: 75 SEK
Children 0-6 years: Free of charge
You can buy your tickets online or at the ship.
Please note that we are now cash-free. You can pay by card or via Swish.
During our guided tours this summer you will not only be able to see the ship, but also our workshop next to the ship and the fascinating historical exhibition. There is also a ship shop located at the entrance to the pier.
The guided tours will take you through three decks on board and will include engaging stories of the history of the Swedish East India Company, the diving on the wreck site, the building of the ship in the 1990's, the launch and voyage to China in 2005–2007.
Sundeck offers great views of the ship and masts. Next, you will visit the beautiful weather deck with the helm, capstan and ship’s bell. Down on gun deck there are ten impressive cannons, and we will also take you to visit the beautiful Great Cabin at the back of the ship.

Take bus number 16 (towards Eketrägatan) or 99 (towards Frölunda Torg). Stop at Sörhallstorget. Walk in the direction of the bus, turn left at Mimergatan.
From Lilla Bommen, Stenpiren or Klippan to Eriksberg ferry stop.
Drive towards Hisingen and Norra Älvstranden, Eriksberg. Turn into Östra Eriksbergsgatan, and then Mimergatan. Set your GPS to Mimergatan 6. Parking is available at Hotel 11 and in the multi-storey car park at Östra Eriksbergsgatan.

Good news! We will extend the period that we are open to visitors in Eriksberg, Gothenburg. All through September 2023, we will stay open for guided tours on weekends. Opening hours will be 11:00–16:00 and tours will leave once an hour. Welcome on board the world's largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship!
At the end of August, Götheborg of Sweden will attend Sweden’s largest shipping event, Donsö Shipping Meet (DSM). It’s the first time that the ship will attend the event, and it is also the first time that Götheborg will moor at Donsö in the southern archipelago outside of Gothenburg.
