Tar weekend coming up!
Summer is over and the maintenance of our beloved ship is in need of some extra pair of hands! If you have time to spend, and love the dark and musky fragrance of tar?
For our fourth stopover we're again going to a city that we have never visited before, Rotterdam! Götheborg has been to the Netherlands; Amsterdam and Dan Helder, before, but this is the first visit to the south of the country. You will find us moored at the Holland Amerikakade in the Kop van Zuid neighborhood. We will of course be open to visitors during our stay. Welcome on board!
Departure has been moved to Monday morning, the 15th of May, at 08:15. We will not be shooting gun salute on departure.

On board Götheborg you will visit the beautiful weather deck with the helm, capstan and ship’s bell. Sundeck offers great views of the ship and masts, and down on gun deck there are ten impressive cannons. Don’t miss the two pieces from the original ship, one piece by the historical cupboard with porcelain and chalk pipes on gun deck, and the other one recessed into the helm.
We have station guiding on board when in port. That means that you follow a marked route around the ship and the ship’s deckhands are stationed in different places around the ship, ready to tell you about the ship, sailing on board and the European Tour 2023.
Götheborg of Sweden will be moored at the Holland Amerikakade in the Kop van Zuid neighborhood. Come and see us from the quayside or visit us during our opening hours. Welcome!

Good news! We will extend the period that we are open to visitors in Eriksberg, Gothenburg. All through September 2023, we will stay open for guided tours on weekends. Opening hours will be 11:00–16:00 and tours will leave once an hour. Welcome on board the world's largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship!
At the end of August, Götheborg of Sweden will attend Sweden’s largest shipping event, Donsö Shipping Meet (DSM). It’s the first time that the ship will attend the event, and it is also the first time that Götheborg will moor at Donsö in the southern archipelago outside of Gothenburg.
