We begin at Gustav Adolfs Square, where you will hear the story of Gothenburg’s founding. From there, we take a short walk, following the traces of the Swedish East India Company.
Why did they travel to China? Who sailed on board, and what happened when the ships returned with their valuable cargoes?
At Stenpiren, we take the ferry across to Eriksberg and Pier 4.
The tour concludes with a visit aboard the Götheborg of Sweden, the full-scale replica of the East Indiaman that ran aground and sank in the Älvsborg Fjord in 1745.
The ferry crossing and admission to the Götheborg of Sweden are included in the ticket price.
