Changes to sailing leg 3 and the Stockholm stopover

Some changes will be made to the sailing leg from Helsinki to Stockholm, and arrival at the stopover in Stockholm will be moved to a few days later. This is due to a visit to the drydock (in Stockholm) that we want to make with the ship, while we are still in Northern Europe.

Changes to sailing leg 3 and the Stockholm stopover

We have a certain hinderance in the angling of the propeller blades, which we want to remedy as a preventative measure to avoid wear on the system. It is not unusual that ships have to make short drydock visits. In this case it is unfortunate that it affects the sailing leg from Helsinki to Stockholm and the first few days of the Stockholm stopover.

The estimated arrival time to Stockholm has been changed to Monday 11 July at the latest. Confirmation of that date and new arrival time, will be communicated as soon as possible.

Spring is truly here, and we’ve started getting ready to rig all three topmasts. We’re now looking for help with applying tar to the standing rigging. You’re welcome to join us for anything from a full week to just half a day. Unfortunately, we can’t offer accommodation, but we do provide lunch and have work clothes available. We are opening the gates to a 1700s-inspired Spring market on the pier of the East Indiaman! Come and enjoy a coffee on the cozy cannon deck with films rolling, and take the opportunity to check or diverse vendours at our market. We will have activities for both children and adults, both onboard the ship and on the pier. We welcome the whole family to join us onboard the East Indiaman Götheborg! Opening Hours: April 12-13 : 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: Pier 4, Eriksberg, Gothenburg (Nearest bus stop: Sörhallstorget, or Eriksberg ferry stop if taking the ferry.)
