The Biscayan Adventure
Are you ready for a southbound voyage?
Leaving Bremerhaven and Maritime Days, Götheborg of Sweden will be heading south for its next destination, the Portuguese capital, Lisbon. This will be the longest passage of all our European legs – and easily the toughest one, too. Naming it the Biscayan Adventure is no exaggeration, for adventurous it will be, just as it will be fun and include some really great sailing. Perfect, some would say, for experiencing the life of a deckhand as it should be. Would you agree? Perfect!
Sailing here is on many people’s bucket lists. Is it on yours? Signing up for this leg will give you a most varied experience of challenging sailing, beautiful summer days on the Atlantic, and ocean wildlife spotting.
And of course your daily deckhand chores. Keeping the world’s largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship fit is an ever ongoing project. To sum it all up, being a part of life aboard Götheborg of Sweden is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Are you in?
Anyone can apply to sail on board Götheborg as a deckhand and experience the unique adventure and life on board a 18th century ship. As a deckhand you sail together with the professional crew, but are not required to have any sailing experience and will get training on board. If this is your dream, don't hesitate to apply to become a deckhand on one of the sailing legs.
