Today, at 3pm, we arrived to the city of Helsingborg, in the south of Sweden. Crowds welcomed us on the quay sides as we greeted the city with a gun salutes of eight shots. Thank you Helsingborg for the very warm welcome and we hope to see you on board!

The ship is open to visitors on Wednesday and Thursday (15 and 16 June), and we are looking forward to welcoming visitors on board. Come and experience the atmosphere of an 18th century ship, and hear about the adventures of the past sailing leg from Gothenburg.
We will be in Helsingborg 14–17 June, as part of H22 City Expo.
Departure from Helsingborg is at 16.00 on the 17th of June.
Next stop after Helsingborg is the Finnish capital of Helsinki, where we arrive 23 June.
For anyone looking for a last minute adventure, we can still squeeze some deckhands into this sailing leg. The only requirement is that you are over 18 and can climb the rig on the ship. Sailing on board Götheborg is a unique adventure, so don't miss out. We hope to see you on board.
In the same vein as in our history, the mission for this journey is to promote Swedish-Asian trade and create new business opportunities. The ship is the perfect platform for our partners.
During the expedition, the ship will make stopovers in ports and cities along the route. We will invite thousands of visitors from the public on board to experience an 18th century ship. Hundreds of people will also sail with us as deckhands, joining different sailing legs. Deckhand are not required to have any sailing experience. They sail for the once in a lifetime experience.

Join us on a guided tour from the city centre to the ship! We begin at Gustav Adolfs Square, where you will hear the story of Gothenburg’s founding. From there, we take a short walk, following the traces of the Swedish East India Company. Why did they travel to China? Who sailed on board, and what happened when the ships returned with their valuable cargoes?
