Asia Expedition 2022/2023

We have arrived in Helsinki

We have arrived in beautiful and sunny Helsinki! We are moored at Makasiini Quay, at the heart in the South Harbour right next to the Market Hall. We will be here until Monday 27 June, and open to visitors Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Come and visit us!

We have arrived in Helsinki

We arrived in Helsinki at 10:00 am after a beautiful early sail in through the archipelago. We were honoured to greet both the Mayor of Helsinki, Juhana Vartiainen, and the Swedish ambassador of Sweden to Finland, Nicola Clase on board after mooring.

In the afternoon we also had a business event on board with mingling and a guided tour for all the guests.

Götheborg of Sweden has been to Helsinki twice before, in 2008 and 2013. The interest from Finland was great when we sailed to Stockholm last year and we are really excited to be back!

We look forward to seeing you on board!

Visit the ship in Helsinki 23–27 June

Zumba Onboard the Ship!

30 July 2026

Zumba® Fitness is a workout that combines dance and fitness to energetic rhythms, mainly inspired by Latin American music such as salsa, merengue, reggaeton, and cumbia. It's a fun, high-energy workout that feels more like a dance party than exercise. Zumba® Fitness is designed to improve cardiovascular fitness, strength, and coordination—all while bringing joy and positive energy.

We present a new guided tour!

08 July 2026

Join us on a guided tour from the city centre to the ship! We begin at Gustav Adolfs Square, where you will hear the story of Gothenburg’s founding. From there, we take a short walk, following the traces of the Swedish East India Company. Why did they travel to China? Who sailed on board, and what happened when the ships returned with their valuable cargoes?
