Come for a guided tour on board Götheborg! Starting Saturday October 2nd, we are open to visitors on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays 12:00 – 15:00. You can buy your tickets online or on-site, in our shop. Please note that the ship can only be visited in the company of a guide.

The Swedish Ship Götheborg is a historical visitor’s destination in the city of Gothenburg and a ship loaded of experiences. A genuine working ship with a vibrant history, scarred by harsh storms and marked by thousands upon thousands of nautical miles on the seven seas. Here, visitors get to know everything from captivating stories to the tremendous art of shipbuilding in a contemporary 18th century environment during a guided tour on board.

Join us on a guided tour from the city centre to the ship! We begin at Gustav Adolfs Square, where you will hear the story of Gothenburg’s founding. From there, we take a short walk, following the traces of the Swedish East India Company. Why did they travel to China? Who sailed on board, and what happened when the ships returned with their valuable cargoes?
