World’s largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship is arriving to London

Monday, 8 August 2022 at 10:00 am, the world’s largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship, Götheborg of Sweden, is arriving to London. The ship is on its way to Asia and London is the 6th stopover on the Asia Expedition 2022/2023. The Götheborg will be in London 8–12 August and will be moored at South Dock Quay in Canary Wharf. The ship will be open to the public 8-11 August. Before mooring on the 8th, the ship will pass Tower Bridge at 08:30 am and 09:00 am.

World’s largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship is coming to Oslo

Tomorrow, 27 July 2022 at 13:00, the world’s largest ocean-going sailing ship, Götheborg of Sweden, is arriving to Oslo. It is the last stopover in the Nordic Countries on the Asia Expedition 2022/2023 before the ship heads south. The Götheborg will be in Oslo 28–31 July and will be moored at the central location of Vippetangen, near Akershus Fortress.

Götheborg has arrived in Copenhagen

21 July 2022

Today, 21 July 2022, at 13:00, Götheborg arrived at the waterfront area by Nedre Tolbold in Copenhagen. Copenhagen is the first stopover outside of Sweden, with one more stop in the nordic countries (Oslo) continuing on the great Asia Expedition 2022/2023, sailing in Europe in 2022 and Asia in 2023. 

Götheborg has arrived in Stockholm

11 July 2022

Today, 11 July 2022, at 08:30, Götheborg arrived at Skeppsbrokajen in Stockholm. Stockholm is the last stopover in Sweden before the ship continues on the great Asia Expedition 2022/2023, sailing in Europe in 2022 and Asia in 2023. 

All stopovers in 2022 are now announced

Today, the last four stopovers on the 2022, European part, of the Asia Expedition 2022/2023 were announced, together with the winter stopover in the Mediterranean. The four stops are Malaga, Nice, Valetta and Barcelona. Götheborg will stay in Barcelona until March 2023.

Götheborg is coming to Helsinki

22 June 2022

Tomorrow, 22 June, at 15:00, the ship Götheborg of Sweden will arrive in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. At 16:00 the ship will arrive a quay, the crew will sing sea shanties, ceremonial flags will be released from the yards, and the Captain will welcome guests from the city on board the ship. 

Götheborg is coming to Helsingborg

13 June 2022

Tomorrow, 14 June, at 15:00, the ship Götheborg of Sweden will arrive in Helsingborg, in the south of Sweden, and greet Helsingborg with a gun salute. At 16:00 the ship will arrive a quay, the crew will sing sea shanties, ceremonial flags will be released from the yards, and the Captain will welcome guests from the city on board the ship. 

The ship Götheborg of Sweden heads out – Start of the great Asia Expedition 2022/2023

Today at 3:30 pm, the ship Götheborg of Sweden leaves her home harbour Gothenburg and heads out on the great Asia Expedition 2022/2023. The ship will sail in the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe before heading south towards the Mediterranean. Along the way, she will visit a number of ports and take on hundreds of deckhands who sail along for the adventure and experience.

EKN and Vinnova join Götheborg as partners to promote Swedish export

Two great stakeholders in Swedish export and innovation, EKN and Vinnova, have partnered with Götheborg as she is about to set sail on a two-year voyage across the world. The ship will serve as a platform to promote trade and a message of sustainable innovations in a most unique and beautiful way.

Götheborg of Sweden will sail to Lisbon, Portugal for the first time

04 May 2022

Götheborg of Sweden today announced that the ship will sail to Lisbon as part of its two-year long Asia Expedition 2022/2023. It is the first time that the ship visits Portugal and Lisbon. Götheborg will be in Lisbon 5–8 September and will be moored at the central location of Cais Rocha Conde de Óbidos.

Final two stops in Northern Europe: Copenhagen and Oslo

12 April 2022

Copenhagen and Oslo are the last two stops in the Nordic countries on the Asia Expedition 2022/2023. It is the first time that the ship visits Copenhagen. At the same time, three more sailing legs are also released, which means that the whole Northern European part of the Asia Expedition 2022/2023 is official.

The ship Götheborg of Sweden is returning to Stockholm in July

22 March 2022

The ship Götheborg of Sweden is returning to Stockholm on the Asia Expedition 2022/2023. Stockholm is the third stopover on the expedition, and the last Swedish city that the ship will visit before heading on to Asia. Götheborg will be in Stockholm 7–13 July 2022, and will be moored at Skeppsbrokajen in the Old Town, close to the royal castle.
