Götheborg of Sweden is the world's largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship, an 18th century replica of the original Götheborg that sank outside of Gothenburg in 1745, and will create great attention wherever she goes. Last chance to visit the ship in Barcelona

This weekend (18–19 March) will be our last in Barcelona. Monday 20 March at 10:00 we head out after nearly five months in this beautiful city. As this is the last chance to visit the ship in Barcelona, don't miss out! We're open Saturday and Sunday, and the ship will have full crew and of course look her best.  

2500 SEK grant for people 18–25 years old

Are you 18–25 and want to sail with us? This is a great opportunity to get part of the payment payed by a grant! STAS (Sail Training Association of Sweden) has decided to give a grant of 2500 SEK each to four people 18–25 years of age. With only four grants to hand out, don't hesitate to apply!

Tickets for Sète and final weekend in Barcelona are released today

Today tickets are released for our final weekend in Barcelona (18–19 March) and first stopover Sète (23–27 March). We will have open ship with station guiding on board. Come and visit the ship, meet the crew, learn about the history and craftmanship, and hear about life on board an 18th century ship.

All six sailing legs and port stops of the European Tour 2023 are now released

Good news! We have now released the final three sailing legs of our European Tour 2023. Today we also announce the two final port stops of the European Tour 2023; Rotterdam and Hamburg. This means that all sailing legs and all ports stops for 2023 are now finalised. Apply now to come and sail with us!

We have now released the first three sailing legs of the European Tour 2023. Sail with us from Barcelona to Sète in southern France, from Sète to Gibraltar, or the really long sailing leg across the Bay of Biscay, 18 days at sea between Gibraltar and Jersey, British Isles. Götheborg will sail to Gibraltar

Today it was announced that the second stopover on the European Tour 2023 will be Gibraltar. Between 6–10 April the ship will be moored at Mid Harbour Marina. It's the first time that Götheborg visits Gibraltar, and the ship will of course be open to visitors during the stopover.

Sail for free on board Götheborg

We now offer a unique opportunity to sail for free on board the Götheborg during the first six weeks of this year’s sailing adventure. Sign on in Barcelona mid-March and sign off in the Brittany/Normandie area right at the end of April. This is a bucket list sailing adventure that you don’t want to miss!

First stopover: Sète, France

The first stopover on the European Tour 2023 will be beautiful Sète in the south of France, also called known as “Venice of the Languedoc” for its network of canals. Between 23–27 March will be moored at Quai d'Alger at the heart of Sète. With the release of the first sailing destination of the European Tour 2023, the first and last stopover are now official.
